Dear Cassandra,
Being in primary six was such a interesting but demanding. Happily, I was promoted to primary seven in which am currently studying. Primary seven is so much writing and reading so far. It is the final primary education class where we have to sit final exams to take to secondary school next year. It is real studying here. I STARTED reading the verse you sent. It has a lot good message for me and hopefully others. I love playing defensive positions but I can also try goal keeping. You had a very funny experience with girls’ soccer. Are finding netball and basketball easy for you?
We are planning to host the youth convention this year for Christian school going youths. I will keep you updated as our leaders confirm and date and venue.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Paul.

Hi Paul
A youth convention sounds fun. You will learn a lot and make new friends. In my youth group, we have started our annual Olympic games. We are learning a lot from them. It is now Easter time and we are getting ready to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. It feels good to know that Jesus loves us so much that He died for us. Do you have any song which you sing for Easter at your church? I hope you will have a Happy Easter.

I have many chores including: gardening, fetching water and firewood, cleaning the home, and washing clothes and eating utensils. I do not live far from school, one mile, and walk there and back five days per week. I enjoy sports particularly football (soccer). My family and I attend church regularly and my favorite hymn is "Ntambula ne Yezu". I want to grow up to be a farmer.

" Dear Paul ... my name is Michael. I am 16 years old and a junior in high school. I love playing football and soccer with my friends. I am very glad to see that you are a devoted member of your youth group. What I like about youth group is that I meet friends from other towns and schools on Sunday nights at our programs. I have made many friends outside of thos from school through youth group.

Since you shared your favorite hymn with me, let me do the same. Mine is a Christmas carol: Silent Night.
Best of luck with all your future plans."

Hi Michael Gebhardt,
Choosing to be Bible pals made me happy. My father is Emmanuel and my mom is Justine. My dad died but my mom is alive and selling kids clothes. Am living with my grand ma. My best lessons are Mathematics and English.
We keep in touch.

Comment and Challenge from Lindsay Ullmann, United Kingdom
Hi ... my name is Lindsay Ullmann. I started to write poetry when I was your age and it helped me to learn more about myself as a person. I grew to understand that I had to search to just find myself . I am in my 20's and now am a professional songwriter and singer. So if we turn our thoughts around into something positive we can accomplish almost anything - through creativity and spirituality.
Michael or Paul, do you feel that you have had a wake up call in life like I had through poetry, when I was your age? If so, would you care to share? Would you agree that creativity and spirituality can help us and also those around us?

Hi Paul
My name is Cassandra and I would like to be bible penpals with you.
I like going to church and I like singing the church songs. I am 18 years old and I will be going to college soon. I'm glad I joined the youth group because I have made new friends and we talk about the bible at our meetings.
What do you like to do? What do you like to talk about with your friends? What's your favorite sport? I will be looking forward to your reply.

Dear Cassandra,
Am very ready to be friends through Bible pen pals with you. I also like going to church and enjoying singing too. Am 13 years old and in primary 6. I will be going tom primary seven next year.Truelly joining this youth group helped me to get new friends and learn new things that we need to know in life. In our group meetings we do Bible reading, memorizing bible verses, discussing health issues. I like to talk about academic work, sports and movies. My favorite sport is football and I enjoy watching it as well.
We can keep the friendship.

Paul
Thanks for being friends with me. I like making new friends. How is it like being in primary six? Are the exams harder? I also like memorizing verses. I memorized the whole Psalms 23. You should try it too. it might seem hard at first but after some time you will succeed. So are you a good soccer player? What's your favorite position on the soccer field? I once tried playing girls soccer but I always missed the ball and kicked the air or the ground. It was so funny. So I finally stopped and started playing netball and basketball.
Looking forward to hearing from you again
Cassandra
